Perhaps when you were young, you had certain dreams or ambitions. Maybe you sought out to change the world or wanted to join the Army to serve your country. Were you ever a knight who would fight great battles?
Where is that dream now?
Do you dream still?
In high school, I wanted to be a youth pastor and in my head, I envisioned it a certain way. You know, I would be the best youth pastor and the students would have a deep desire and love for theology.
And yet…life happens. I’m no longer in full time ministry (at least not paid), I currently do not work with youth, what happened?
Did I fail? Some may say so.
But can dreams not change? Can life cause you to sit down and ponder what is important? What is God doing?
What about dreaming big with the gifts God has given you? While I may have had dreams of employment and me being a super star for the Lord, what about the family God has brought to me.
How can I dream big to serve and love them. I’m called to that right? But…wonder if I am so focused on certain dreams, that I miss the biggest relational calling that I have been blessed with?
I can’t miss this.
Yet, what is stopping me from dreaming big with my family? Once I dream big, how do I lead my family to make the dream a reality?
Well, here goes nothing.
